95 WIIL ROCK BREAKDOWN 07/01/2025…. Limp Bizkit…. Three Days Grace…. Black Sabbath….
LIMP BIZKIT guitarist Wes Borland honored Metallica with a striking tribute during the band’s final M72 tour appearance, dressing as a skull-faced 1980s-era James Hetfield. Sporting a “Metal Up Your Ass” t-shirt and white high-tops, Borland’s costume celebrated Metallica’s legacy despite past critiques from Hetfield. Fan-filmed footage of the performance has since gone viral.
Canadian rock band Three Days Grace has hit 1 billion streams on Spotify with their 2003 hit “I Hate Everything About You,” becoming only the second Canadian band to reach the milestone. The band announced a new album, Alienation, dropping August 22, and will kick off a European tour later this year with original frontman Adam Gontier back on vocals. Their latest single, “Dominate,” showcases their signature hard rock intensity.
And finally, Heavy metal pioneers BLACK SABBATH were awarded the Freedom of the City of Birmingham, recognizing their impact on music and service to their hometown. At a special ceremony, original members received scrolls and custom medals reflecting Birmingham’s industrial heritage. The band will reunite for a final hometown show, Back To The Beginning, featuring legendary acts.
