95 WIIL ROCK BREAKDOWN 06/11/2025…. Sly Stone…. From Ashes To New…. Badflower….
Sly Stone, legendary frontman of Sly and the Family Stone, has died at 82. Known for groundbreaking hits like “Everyday People” and “Family Affair,” the band was a trailblazer in both sound and diversity, being the first major group to feature Black and white members. A defining voice of the Woodstock era, Stone’s music tackled social issues and continues to influence artists across genres, despite a career marred by personal struggles.
From Ashes to New have unveiled their upcoming New Disease Tour, a 28-city run launching in September with the group making a stop at the House of Blues in Chicago on Thursday, October 10th. Supporting acts include Magnolia Park, Until I Wake, and Not Enough Space, with tickets going on sale Friday.
And finally, Badflower has released their latest single, “Snuff,” ahead of their upcoming album, No Place Like Home, set to drop on June 20th. This marks the band’s third studio album and follows their 2021 release, This Is How The World Ends.
