Chickenfoot bassist Michael Anthony has confirmed that there will be a new album from the supergroup. Despite the members going their separate ways for the rest of 2010, Anthony revealed the news at the National Association of Music Merchants show in California. Additionally, two leaked soundboard recordings from the band’s first show in 2008 have surfaced online, featuring covers of songs by the Jeff Beck Group and Traffic. The recordings capture the first time Sammy Hagar, Michael Anthony, Joe Satriani, and Chad Smith jammed together onstage.
And finally, guitarist’s John 5 and his longtime buddy, Richie Kotzen, are joining forces for a U.S. tour running from October to November with John 5 promising a revamped set blending classics and fresh tracks from his new album Ghost, that will be released in October. Unfortunately, the closest shows to the WIIL Rock Listening area is when the duo hit St. Charles on November 22nd or the follwing evening when they play in Belvidere.
