Riot Fest has revealed its 2025 headliners, featuring Blink-182, Weezer, Jack White, and Green Day. The three-day punk and alternative music festival will return to Chicago’s Douglass Park, where it will remain through 2027 under a new multiyear agreement with the Chicago Park District. As part of the deal, Riot Fest will contribute 30% of its revenue to park improvements. This year’s event will showcase over 90 performers across five stages, with tickets starting at $300 for general admission. More lineup announcements are expected soon.
Insight Editions has announced a September 16 release date for House of 1000 Corpses: The Making Of A Cult Classic, a new behind-the-scenes book by Rob Zombie. The 304-page hardcover delves into the creation of Zombie’s 2003 cult horror film, offering an in-depth look at the twisted vision that launched the Firefly universe. Featuring the writer-director-musician’s signature artistic style, the book promises fans an immersive journey into the dark and chaotic world that made the film a genre staple.
And finally, the original Alice Cooper group has unveiled “Black Mamba,” the lead single from their upcoming reunion album The Revenge of Alice Cooper, due out July 25. The track, featuring a guest solo by Doors guitarist Robby Krieger, is available on all major digital platforms. This marks the band’s first full-length album with the original lineup since 1973 and includes bonus tracks and a posthumous appearance by founding guitarist Glen Buxton.
