Judas Priest and Alice Cooper announced yesterday that they will be heading out on the road with special guests Corrosion of Conformity later this year. The tour will kick off in September with them making a stop at the Credit Union 1 Amphitheatre in Tinley Park on Sunday, October 5th.
Another band who just announced that they will be hitting the road are British rockers The Darkness who just have unveiled a tour kicking off in August. The band promises a show packed with “foot-stomping and guitar-wailing joy”, as they support their acclaimed new album Dreams on Toast, hailed as their best since their 2003 debut Permission to Land. Tickets go on sale Friday, with them making a stop at The Rave /Eagles Club in Milwaukee on Saturday, September 20th.
And finally, Shock rock legends GWAR will release The Return of Gor Gor on June 25th, a new album and comic book chronicling the wild adventures of Gor Gor, their long-lost T-Rex. The album features new studio tracks and live recordings, including the thrashy single “Lot Lizard.” Fans can pre-order vinyl bundles and GWAR’s Bud of Gods CBD products. To mark their 40th anniversary, GWAR will launch a U.S. headlining tour starting in May.
