Jillian Shriner, wife of Weezer bassist Scott Shriner, was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after pointing a gun at police officers during an altercation in Eagle Rock, Los Angeles. The incident occurred while police were tracking suspects from a hit-and-run incident. Shriner was shot by officers, treated for a non-life-threatening injury, and released on a $1 million bond. She is scheduled to appear in court on April 30.
Jon Bon Jovi’s nonprofit community kitchen in Toms River, NJ, is under scrutiny as Mayor Daniel Rodrick claims it’s worsening homelessness by drawing more unhoused people to the area. The pop-up, which lets diners “pay it forward” for those in need, is set to close in May. While Rodrick is considering legal action against some nonprofits, Bon Jovi’s kitchen isn’t among them.
And finally, Former Killswitch Engage vocalist Howard Jones made a surprise return onstage with the band Tuesday night (April 8) at College Street Music Hall in New Haven, CT. Jones shared vocals with current frontman Jesse Leach for a powerful performance of “The Signal Fire.” Jones, who left the band in 2012 and later formed Devil You Know, has openly battled manic depression and bipolar disorder.
