Kirk Hammett has released a coffee-table book titled, The Collection: Kirk Hammett, showcasing his extensive guitar collection. The book, titled, “The Collection: Kirk Hammett”, features photos and stories behind his favorite instruments, and is available in three editions for pre-order through Gibson.com. There is a new video teaser for it featuring narration from longtime Metallica fan, Jason Momoa.
Green Day is recruiting fans over 18 to participate in a New Year’s Eve concert scene for their upcoming movie New Year’s Rev. Filming will take place at The Palladium in Los Angeles on March 25th and will last 10-11 hours. Photos and videos are prohibited and fans are asked to dress in upscale New Year’s Eve punk attire. And finally, Iron Maiden’s retired Boeing 747, “Ed Force One,” used during their Book of Souls tour, was transformed into 12,000 novelty keychains by German company Aviationtag. The keychains, featuring images of the plane and the band’s mascot Eddie, are priced at €66.66 and are nearly sold out. Vocalist Bruce Dickinson, also a licensed pilot, flew the plane during the band’s 2017 tour.
