Phoenix band DED, who just played the WC Social Club in Chicago last night, with the Butcher Babies opening up, are set for a big year with their new single “Until I Die,” featuring Chris Motionless of Motionless In White. Known for their nü metal and punk sound, DED’s 2021 album School Of Thought earned them some major critical acclaim, building them a strong following with millions of streams and chart success.
David Draiman, lead singer of Disturbed, is suing his former landlord over health issues caused by mold in a rental home in Coral Gables, Florida. Draiman alleges the landlord misrepresented the property and failed to return his $37,000 security deposit. The singer had been paying $18,500 a month for the home, where he discovered unreported mold and leaks. The lawsuit comes amid Disturbed’s North American tour celebrating the 25th anniversary of their debut album, The Sickness. Draiman recently shared on stage that he has experienced suicidal thoughts, though it’s unclear if this is linked to the legal dispute.
And finally, Guns N’ Roses announced the departure of longtime drummer Frank Ferrer and introduced Isaac Carpenter as his replacement for their World tour this year. Carpenter, known for his work with Awolnation and A Perfect Circle, along others, replaces Ferrer, who had been with the band for 19 years. G’N’R thanked Ferrer for his time with the group, letting fans know that both parted on good terms.
