The long-awaited Spinal Tap sequel, Spinal Tap II: The End Continues, will hit theaters on September 12, 2025. The film, distributed by Bleecker Street, will reunite original cast members Christopher Guest, Michael McKean, and Harry Shearer. A restored version of the 1984 classic This Is Spinal Tap will also return to theaters this summer before streaming. Rob Reiner will reprise his role as documentary filmmaker Marty DiBergi and direct the sequel.
Vinnie Paul Abbott, beloved drummer of PANTERA and HELLYEAH, celebrates his legacy with a new cookbook, Drumming Up An Appetite With Vinnie Paul, released by Z2. Featuring his favorite family recipes, the book is divided into three chapters: main courses, side dishes, and desserts, with a foreword by comedian Carrot Top. Perfect for summer barbecues, it honors his legendary Sunday Funday dinners.
And finally, Sammy Hagar paid tribute to John Pruner, the fan who gave him the nickname “Red Rocker” in 1976. Despite Pruner’s declining health, he remained a loyal fan, attending over 100 shows and receiving a lifetime all-access pass. Hagar announced Pruner’s passing and vowed to continue performing in his memory, with upcoming shows at the Stagecoach festival and a Las Vegas residency.
