PRIMUS has announced John Hoffman as their new drummer, following the departure of Tim “Herb” Alexander. The band made the reveal on Instagram, with bassist Les Claypool welcoming Hoffman aboard. After receiving over 5,000 applications and holding a five-day “interstellar drum derby,” PRIMUS selected Hoffman for his unique style and ability to collaborate creatively.
Billy Idol is hitting the road for the It’s a Nice Day To…Tour Again! with Joan Jett & the Blackhearts. The tour, which will feature special guests Matt Rife and Steve Stevens, will kick off in Phoenix on April 30th with him making a stop at the Credit Union 1 Amphitheatre in Tinley Park on Tuesday, May 20th. A portion of ticket sales will benefit Southern California Wildfire Relief.
And finally, Mark Morton, guitarist and songwriter for Lamb of God, has released his new track “Brother,” featuring country artist Cody Jinks. The song is from his upcoming solo album Without The Pain, due out April 11th.
