Surviving Nirvana members Dave Grohl, Krist Novoselic, and Pat Smear reunited onstage Thursday night (January 30) at the FireAid benefit concert, performing several of the band’s iconic songs. Filling the lead vocal role were guest singers St. Vincent, Joan Jett, Kim Gordon, and Dave Grohl’s 18-year-old daughter, Violet Grohl. This marked a rare reunion of the legendary grunge band’s core members.
Steel Panther’s Michael Starr revealed in a January 24 interview at the NAMM convention in Anaheim that the band is working on a new album, aiming for a release sometime next year. However, he noted that there’s no set release date, as the band prefers to wait until the songs are ready.
And finally, Nine Inch Nails have added three more dates to their Peel It Back U.S. tour, including second nights in Chicago (Aug. 20), New York City (Sept. 3), and Los Angeles (Sept. 19).
