Canadian metal legends ANVIL will headline a U.S. East Coast tour this spring, with support from comedian Don Jamieson and the band MIDNITE HELLION. The tour promises an exciting blend of heavy metal and comedy, showcasing ANVIL’s iconic sound alongside Jamieson’s humor and MIDNITE HELLION’s powerful performance. You can check them out when they play the WC Social Club in Chicago on May 9th.
Iron Maiden’s Bruce Dickinson recently competed in the ‘Circuit Européen’ fencing tournament in France, placing 13th in the veterans’ category. A fencing enthusiast since his teens, Dickinson also has passions for acting, flying, and brewing beer. Meanwhile, the band teased a special 50th-anniversary tour in 2025, featuring songs from their first nine albums, with plans to extend into 2026.
And finally, guitarist John Sykes, famed for his work with Thin Lizzy and Whitesnake, has died at 65 after a battle with cancer. Known for his exceptional talent and songwriting on Whitesnake’s 1987 album, Sykes left a lasting mark on rock music.
