The childhood home of AC/DC’s Malcolm and Angus Young in Burwood, Sydney, was demolished last month by a company unaware of its historical significance. The house, listed on the New South Wales National Trust’s Register of Historic Houses, was where the band formed in 1973. The company responsible plans to build a bar or cafe at the site using salvaged materials and expressed regret for the oversight.
