Dallas brewery Celestial Beerworks has launched “Fred Thirst,” a Limp Bizkit-inspired IPA with a design featuring frontman Fred Durst in his signature red cap. The 7% ABV beer is available for $17.99 per four-pack in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Though unofficially licensed, the beer’s name plays on the German word “Durst,” meaning “thirst.”
Former Butcher Babies vocalist Carla Harvey has joined ’90s industrial band Lords of Acid, marking a dream come true for the singer. Harvey will record vocals for the band’s upcoming album this winter and join their 27-date U.S. tour in June. The announcement follows the passing of former vocalist Ruth McArdle. Harvey’s new band, The Violent Hour, will release its first single in February.
And finally, Three Days Grace’s new single “Mayday” has topped Billboard’s Mainstream Rock Airplay chart, marking their 18th #1 hit, the second-most in the chart’s history. The track is the band’s first release since founding frontman Adam Gontier’s return after an 11-year absence.
