Rock For Children, in collaboration with Alice Cooper’s Solid Rock Teen Centers, has released a lyric video for “My Christmas List” from their GRAMMY-nominated album Solid Rock Revival. Featuring Rob Halford, Alice Cooper, and Brandon Jenner, the song promotes positivity and change.
A recent Merchoid survey found Nickelback as the top “Dad Rock” band, with 26% of votes. Van Halen and Blink-182 tied for second at 12%, while the Red Hot Chili Peppers ranked third with 10%. The survey also revealed that 57% of respondents think today’s music is inferior to classics, and 89% still enjoy listening to dad rock.
And finally, Bob “Slim” Dunlap, guitarist for The Replacements, has died at 73 due to complications from a stroke he suffered in 2012. He remained in good spirits despite his disability. Dunlap joined the band in 1987 and played on their final two albums before their 1991 breakup. He is survived by his wife, three children, and two grandchildren.
