System of a Down has announced three major stadium shows with Deftones, Avenged Sevenfold, and Korn. The concerts, produced by Live Nation, will take place at MetLife Stadium (Aug 28), Soldier Field (Aug 31), and Rogers Stadium (Sept 3). Polyphia and WISP will open. Tickets go on sale Dec 13, with presales starting Dec 11.
Rob Zombie has released a spooky new coloring book featuring over 30 pages of ghoulish illustrations, masks, crafts, and paper dolls. The book joins a wave of heavy metal-inspired coloring books, alongside Ozzy Osbourne and IRON MAIDEN. The trend reflects a growing interest in creative expression and stress relief. Zombie also recently announced the return of bassist Rob “Blasko” Nicholson to his band after 18 years.
And finally, KORN guitarist Brian “Head” Welch revealed in an interview with Australia’s Everblack podcast that the band is making progress on their follow-up to 2022’s Requiem. While they are pleased with the material, Welch noted that the songwriting is still ongoing and it may take until next summer or even winter for the album’s release.
