Pearl Jam performed the Temple of the Dog anthem “Hunger Strike” for the first time in ten years during the final show of their Dark Matter World Tour in Sydney on Saturday night. The performance marked the band’s first live rendition of the song since the 2017 death of Chris Cornell. The last time Pearl Jam played the song was in 2014 at Neil Young’s Bridge School Benefit, with Cornell joining them as a special guest vocalist.
Linkin Park’s highly-anticipated comeback album, From Zero, has debuted at No. 1 in 10 countries. Released on November 15, the album marks the band’s first with new vocalist Emily Armstrong. It topped the charts in the U.K., Germany, France, Italy, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Austria, Belgium, Australia, and New Zealand. In the U.S., From Zero reached No. 2 on the Billboard 200.
And finally, Sevendust frontman Lajon Witherspoon will join Creed guitarist Mark Tremonti on stage in Orlando, Florida, on December 14. The performance will support Tremonti’s recent albums Tremonti Sings Sinatra and Christmas Classics New & Old, with Tremonti backed by members of Frank Sinatra’s touring band. This appearance comes as Sevendust prepares to open for Creed at two Las Vegas shows later this year.
