Scorpions guitarist and former Motörhead drummer Mikkey Dee has addressed recent rumors of his death, calling the reports “fake” and “inappropriate.” Dee took to Instagram to refute the claims, sharing a screenshot of the false story and expressing his anger at the spread of such rumors. He urged followers to report the posts and called for Facebook to address the issue. “I am very much alive and kicking,” he wrote, marking the photos “Fake” to prevent further circulation.
Judas Priest has confirmed their upcoming Shield of Pain tour will celebrate the 35th anniversary of their iconic 1990 album Painkiller. In a post on Wednesday, the band revealed the tour will feature a unique setlist showcasing fan favorites from the album. Painkiller was the band’s last release with lead singer Rob Halford before his departure in the early ’90s, with Halford rejoining the group in 2003. Currently, only European dates for the Shield of Pain tour have been announced.
And finally, Sleep Token performed with pre-recorded tracks at their Zurich, Switzerland show on Tuesday after guitarist IV and bassist III fell ill. The band announced the change, explaining the show would proceed as planned using tracks from the absent members to avoid last-minute cancellation. The band thanked fans for their understanding and support despite the unforeseen adjustments.
