Ghost has announced a major world tour for 2025, featuring a U.S. leg next summer beginning in July. The tour was revealed in a video from their ‘Chapters’ YouTube series, and hinted at additional dates with the possibility of a new album announcement coming soon. You can see Ghost when they play the Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee on Tuesday, July 29th, or on Friday August 1st at the Allstate Arena in Rosemont.
Keyboardist Roddy Bottum, who played with Faith No More, announced that the band is on a “semi-permanent hiatus,” while promoting his new memoir, “The Royal We.” A book that is coming out that talks about San Francisco, punk rock, along with his personal struggles.
And finally, Phil Lesh, the bassist and co-founder of the Grateful Dead, has passed away at the age of 84. His family, who were with him at the time he died, said that Lesh had passed away peacefully on Friday. Lesh who helped start the band in 1965 with Jerry Garcia and played with them until their break-up in 1995, was scheduled to be honored with his bandmates in January as the 2025 MusiCares Persons of the Year.
